| Here’s what some of our customers like about SKB shock rack cases: |
All shippers
- Forklift punctures and gouges are a major concern. Because they are so rugged, these SKB military-style cases are significantly less prone to damage from forklifts than wood, thin walled plastic, or aluminum cases.
- And, all SKB cases are covered by the SKB factory "Million Mile Warrantee" – so if your case IS damaged or destroyed, your case will be repaired or replaced by SKB at no charge. For life.
|
Trade shows exhibitors
The larger SKB shock rack cases have hinged lids (24 in., 29.25 in., and 30 in. cases), which may easily be closed and locked after exhibit or meeting hours. This helps to keep prying eyes and hands away from valuable equipment.
|
IT departments
Many network systems are taken to off-site locations for meetings and other events.
SKB heavy duty portable rack cases enable you to rack mount an entire computer system in the case and safely ship it to the field. Once there, open the lids and be operational in 10 minutes.
The new SKB 30 in. and 29.25 in. rack depth shock racks are also particularly suited for deep servers (such as the Dell PowerEdge series) as well as a large UPS.
|
Military groups.
- Lids no longer need to be stored in shelters with limited floor space. They can simply be swung to the sides of the cases during operations.
- The aluminum shock mounted frame allows full air circulation around all six sides of the equipment, thus lessening heat build during operation.
- Rubber gaskets in the lids keep out rain, sand, and dust in harsh environments.
- SKB 24 in., 29.25 in., and 30 in. shock racks can be used while stacked with their lids on OR off–this saves space and aids in rapid deployment.
|
Telecommunications groups
Casters enable technicians and staff to easily roll the cases from lab to conference room to loading dock. Once at the shipping dock, remove the casters and ship the case. At your destination, simply reverse the process with these mobile cases.
Note:
- 20 in. deep shock mount cases use an optional platform with casters (1SKB-1916).
- 24 in., 29.25 in., and 30 in. rack depth cases include removable 4 in. casters that slide in and out of a track on the bottom of the case. These casters can be stored in a "caster accessory bag" (3SKB-BB62) and shipped inside the case.
|
Disaster and mobile response teams
Responders appreciate that these cases are portable and can be stored in the rear of an SUV. This allows them to work directly out of the vehicle.
When the cases need to be moved, the casters can be attached and the cases rolled to a shop or other facility.
